More fodder about the value of the Stanford education. Money magazine has Stanford 1st. There were a few schools with D1 football programs on their list - UCB (tied 9th), and further down on the list - BYU, UVA, ND, Michigan, Florida, Vandy, Texas A&M, Duke.

This is about the value of getting a Stanford degree for the academic side. Wonder how to do an analysis on how the Stanford experience increases your odds of getting into the NFL? Got me to thinking and the NFL says about 2% of the 3 divisions of college football make it to the NFL. If you just look at D-1, then the percentage is more like 5%. We had 54 players that played or are still playing in the NFL between 2005 and 2014. With an average class size of 20 players, that's 200 players in total. That means about 27% of our players played on an NFL team. Skov and other practice squad players who did not play an NFL game were not counted although they have an NFL contract Hopefully we get to add him for next year. Quick and fast so I'm sure we can spend more time on it, but the bottom line is go to Stanford and have a great shot at playing in the NFL. Better yet are the players that were 2 stars or walk-ons that made it to the NFL
