It's come to my attention that there's a report that 2016 Connecticut offensive lineman Lucas Niang both visited Stanford over the weekend and lists the Cardinal among his favorites.

About that...
I checked in with a very good source who had not heard of Niang as it related to Stanford. I did not see Lucas on the field with the other recruits after the game (they gathered the bulk of the major visitors on the field to head toward the locker room). I touched base with another source about some of the major visitors on campus a few days ago and Lucas' name was not mentioned. Nobody connected with Stanford (coaching staff, commits or otherwise) follows him on Twitter. To be honest, I've never heard Lucas' name mentioned in any discussion with anyone about the Cardinal's 2016 offensive line recruiting.
All that to say... it's certainly possible Lucas was in Palo Alto over the weekend for the game - there were, what, 45K or so people at the stadium. And I will keep looking into this. But at this point, I wouldn't spend too much time focusing on him as a 2016 Stanford target.
