I would like to see Haase game plan for today similar to the old Bennett WSU teams. Run the shot clock down every possession with very conservative passing and dribbling to avoid turnovers and run outs from UA. Drive to the basket or put up jumpers late in the clock and then crash the boards for O rebounds, keeping 2 guys back if they get the rebound. Lots of movement on O making UA work hard on D every possession. Be patient and look for breakdowns on UA's defense and score on those opportunities. On D, deny entry passes and penetration, make them shoot jumpers. UA can shoot threes well, but they can also go cold.
We can't keep up with UA in terms of Q and A and I expect that we get clobbered like we did in our regular season games, but if we can limit UA's possessions, fast breaks, and passes into their big guys in the post, it's our best chance to compete. We also need to make our shots at a high percentage.
