Very strong showing for Costello this week. He finished No. 3 (out of 18 competitors) in the event's official standings.
EDIT: It does not appear the finalists (other than Shea Patterson) are ranked. So while he was consistently ranked in the top 5 in earlier lists that were ranked, he's just one of the Elite 11 here.
The Elite 11 standings aren't always representative of a prospect's ability/upside - they're just reflective of how the kid performed during the week of the competition - but factoring in these rankings and all of the various on-site media reports, I think it's safe to say this was a very successful week for K.J. - he really cemented himself as one of the nation's top QB's. (Not that he wasn't already viewed that way, but he was apparently a bit up and down during spring as he worked through an injury. Sure seems that's all behind him now.)
