A friend of mine returned from working with Team USA soccer recently, and said it was a great experience. One of the things he mentioned was how the team functions as a team on and off the field. For example, the team takes a pregame walk together. If someone stops for an autograft, the entire team stops. They walk on as a team, get a snack as a team, etc.
It was a significant contrast to the way he has described other sports, such as MLB where a bunch of individuals get together and play a game.
Another thing he mentioned is what a great guy Jordan Morris is. I pasted a link to a game winning goal he scored for U23 Team USA that some of you might enjoy. Seems like a real gem to gave at Stanford.
