We have three QBs on the roster. They have from good (Hogan) to just decent (Chryst) mobility for large pocket passers but none would be called dual-threat.
In 2012, Tyler threw 224 completions on 307 attempts (73%) for 2549 yard and 36 TDs with 6 INTS. He added 548 rushing yards on 84 carries. After watching his video, I'd say he does not zip any balls, but he does find receivers and throw well on the run. His balls have a bit of loft but usually arrive where his receiver can high point the catch- nice balls for our big WRs and TEs. He's not super fast but is quick and shifty.
I know he is diminutive but seriously would like to see the staff practice some wildcat with Tyler at QB. Sure, Christian can run the wildcat (and he can probably even pass the ball- why not- he does everything else well.) But he needs a few plays off the field.
And we need a scout team dual threat QB. Why not Tyler? Playing time at WR is probably at least 2 years away. Let's put him to work.
