David Burns('76) has filed suit against Stanford for the alleged disregard of the health and safety of former Stanford football players beween 1959-2010. It amazes me that anyone would suggest that an entity can be held responsible for damages that nobody completely understood at the time.
Note that this Davd Burns is different from David D. Burns, a professor at the Stanford School of Medicine.
