I don’t think there is a less satisfying successful program to be a fan of than Iowa football. A disproportionate number of their games are deadly dull because their offense is so bland and the quarterback play is almost always bad. It’s really remarkable how many of their games are field goal contests and you hear fans cheering a good punt without a hint of sarcasm.
