It does seem as if Stanford's football roster cycles through problem areas. In the last decade, we've grumbled about: DBs, Wide Receivers, Tight Ends, and now Defensive Linemen. Next year, I anticipate lots of discussion about a very thin or at least less talented OL. Is this a random cyclical phenomenon, an over reaction to previous gaps, or explained by some mix of factors (such as publicity generated by success of graduating individuals -- e.g. Sherman and/or the influence of assistant coaches)? Or can the staff try to recruit in a more balanced manner?

Looking ahead, we may have temporary growing pains at QB due to lack of experience but the loss of our 2012 OL cohort will be really painful, I fear. Everything else looks pretty good.
