Jenna Brown is an elite point guard/combo guard recruit and she has been selected as one of the five finalists for the 2018 Naismith Trophy High School Girls' Player of the Year. Stanford's only winner of that award is Chiney Ogwumike.

Brown missed her junior season due to a knee injury and returned to the court during summer travel ball. During her senior season the 5-foot-10 guard has averaged 24 points and eight rebounds per game for The Lovett School.

Below are two video features on Brown. The first is from a couple weeks ago and includes some highlight clips from her senior season. The second is from November but includes highlights that appear to be from this past summer. I think it's clear from both why she is a special talent.

I think Cardinal fans should be very excited about the prospect of a backcourt of Kiana Williams and Jenna Brown for at least two years. Marta Sniezek will be a senior next season. And if Stanford has Williams, Brown and DiJonai Carrington on the court at the same time that will be a combination of size, speed and versatility that few teams can match.
