If the rumors are true about Lyons transferring out for his 5th year and if Hoffpauir ends up taking his shot at the MLB, we could be looking at a secondary that returns zero starters from last season. I suppose Ronnie Harris gets an asterisk by his name since he started a number of games down the stretch. But for real though... we could be in some serious trouble here. In fact, looking bigger picture, that would mean we only return 2/11 starters (Anderson & Martinez) from last year's rock solid defense. I know we've worked wonders in the past but it's beginning to look like we really have our work cut out for us this season.
Here's to hoping that Alexander, Simmons, Franklin, Murphy, Holder, Buncom, Meeks, Edwards, and Reid turn out to be serious studs...
