It is remarkable how much better we are on defense with those two players on the field. Seems like Lance Anderson had a lot more confidence in letting the front seven loose on pass rush/blitzes.
Reid had a really nice break-up in the fourth quarter – I'm still trying to figure out why Akina didn't play him and/or Edwards more this season. Whitfield got beat on that last pass play by USC, but Kessler fortunately overthrew his receiver.
In Lance and Akina I trust, but I do scratch my head about not giving the young safeties more reps…
