Even though he has a long list of national programs chasing after him and plans to visit all over the country, several recruiters involved in the battle to land No. 8 safety Brandon Burton of Gardena (California) Serra believe he won’t stray too far from home. One coach said he thinks “UCLA is the team to beat for sure,” and while Burton eliminated USC earlier this summer another coach believes the door isn’t totally shut on the Trojans but also admitted “the Bruins are in great shape.” Still recruiters aren’t going to stop in their attempts to lure him away from Los Angeles. Burton was originally scheduled to visit Ohio State two weeks ago, but had to reschedule and will likely now make it to Columbus for the Michigan State game. Oklahoma (Oct. 2), Florida State (Oct. 9) and Notre Dame (Oct. 16) and Alabama (Nov. 6) are also scheduled to get officials.
