Last night's fiasco at the very end was given birth by our turtling playcalls on preceding drive. The inability to finish the preceding drive with a TD to put it out of reach or burnt clock.. forcing that field goal came as a result of horrible immediately preceding-playcalls leading into and including that total screwup of a 3rd down call obvious and telegraphed to the defense by putting Danielsin at QB for that play, with its' then botched 'execution'. Our then Having to kick the 45 yd FG instead of getting that critical 1st down and either further burning the clock down to zero or even a puctuating TD, set the stage for that miraculous sizzling- hot-knife-through-butter go ahead Oregon St TD with 13 secs left.
I blame the coaches (both O and D) even more than those two hapless DBs who allowed that smaller, but faster/shiftier WR to spin out of their left-empty grasp, then race untouched to Beav victory.
Seemingly, our best chance to avoid 1-11 season... literally spins and slips out of our own grasp.
