Florida State pummeled UConn 24-4 in Game 1. Then, eked out a 10-8 12 inning victory to be the first team to punch their ticket to Omaha.
Then Virginia beat Kansas State to become the second team to Omaha. So at minimum, 2 ACC teams will be there.
It is possible 5 ACC teams make the CWS. In addition to FSU and Virginia, UNC (1-0), NC State (1-0), and Clemson (0-1) could make it.
It's also possible 5 SEC teams make the CWS. Kentucky (1-0), Florida (1-0), Texas A&M (1-0), Tennessee (1-1), and Georgia (0-1) could make it.
It sure looks like the ACC move is very good for Stanford Baseball.
