-Four-star LB (and February Stanford offer recipient) top-seven today that did not include Stanford. Lokeni has discussed taking a spring visit to Stanford at various points in the month since receiving the offer, but this does not bode well for the Cardinal's chances, of course.
-Four-star LB Krys Barnes committed to UCLA today. I only mention this only because Barnes did swing by Stanford's campus a few weeks back while he was in the area for Cal's Junior Day. He was not/is not someone Stanford is really recruiting, however, and that's not something that will likely change.
-This has been making the rounds online, but looks like David Shaw spent some time with a former Stanford recruit by the name of Winston (along with fellow NFL QB prospect Bryce Petty and QB coach George Whitfield) today. Not a huge deal, but if you recall all the positive ink Jim Harbaugh got for tutoring Winston and Petty, this can't be a bad thing. Winston and Petty are highly regarded prospects, George Whitfield a highly regarded QB coach, so some good publicity.
