They were selected at large to the tournament as a 9th seed. The tournament was expanded to 16 teams and 4 teams in the P12 are in. They play a first round match and if the move on, the 8 teams will then play a double elimination format. If they win their first round match, their reward is to play #1 seed USC. Thank goodness for double elimination.
