I don't care what the stats say. The eye test tells me that Isa Silva and Harrison Ingram need to get all of the point guard minutes. O'Connell seems like a great kid - and he played well for us last year - but, sorry, he just doesn't have "it." He strikes me as a slightly better version of Tony Giovacchini from yesteryear, with all that comes along with that.
We desperately need better point guard play and while Silva still makes plenty of freshman bonehead mistakes, I'll gladly live with them. When he was running the floor in the second half, the offense simply worked where it hadn't earlier. Ingram can also give us solid minutes there. And, with Angel playing much better of late, he can fill in for Ingram at small forward for long stretches.
