Great win 8-5 after 12 innings. Terrible start after 1st 3 innings when Matthews (1/3 inning), O'Rourke and Weiermiller hammered with Stanford down and virtually out, behind 5-0.

Then miracle workers Palisch and Dixon spin their collective magic. Stanford ties it 5-5 and Dixon's extra inning heroics take us through the bottom of the 12th for this spectacular come-from-behind victory after we then score 3 in top of the 12th. Late timely hitting gets to Oregon's top closer who gave up his first homer of the season. Esquer never had to call on Grech or Pancer.

Oregon St comes into Sunken next Friday for the weekend (and final Conf) series prior to NCAA playoffs.

As a result of our series win, Arizona now in 1st place over Oregon. And Stanford in 3rd. Prior to this series Stanford was #15 nationally in coaches poll and Oregon #7. We'll see where the new poll places us.
