First off, great effort by the team this week. As the announcers noted, Stanford is as hot as any team in the country heading into regionals.
Regarding our starting rotation, Brandt Pancer once again looked good tonight. I don't have the numbers for the past month, but my sense is that he's pitched very well. Dowd looked shaky - he seems to lack for confidence, at least he has for chunks of the season. Ditto for Uber. Seems to me that Pancer is the logical person to be our third starter behind Williams and Dixon. O'Rourke also looked good tonight but he - like Dixon/Uber - lacks for consistency.
All that said, any reason you can see for not slotting Pancer in that third starting spot moving forward? He started a number of games in the early part of last season and sure looks ready to do so again.
