Cant imagine anyone other than Davis starting along side of Martinez in the fall (unless Barton comes in lights out which would be a huge surprise after 2 years away.) Maybe Okereke puts on 10-15 and gets a nice piece of the time-share. Perez will not be in the mix. Owusu looks ready to be a nice contributor. I don't think he will be the great one many were expecting coming in but he will be a very good complimentary piece.Kalambayi left midway with an ankle. Looked like the 2-3 week variety but with the amount of bodies at OLB I wouldn't be surprised if he played his last down of the spring. I think Dave Bright is going to be the starting RG. Definitely an upgrade in pass pro and no drop off in run game. OTOH, Caspers just might put a little pressure on Shuler. Caspers is the more physical player obviously. Loved the look of the OL when it went Murph, Garnett, Caspers, Bright and Tucker. Can't see Watkins helping. There just isn't any flash. No burst, no strength, no motor. Lohn tries hard but it is just really hard for him to win. Neither of these two would see the field on a championship-type defense. I literally know nothing about Scarlett but he needs to get here fast. For some reason Stanford does not throw designed back shoulder balls to outside receivers always opting for a more traditional "fade" route. Burns threw a perfect ball to Owusu for a score. High enough to where only he could catch it and with plenty of room from the boundary. Burns looks like QB2 to me but not a lot of separation from Chryst. Made a lot of different throws today. Both Simmons and Alfieri looked okay and will be on the field in the fall. I wouldn't be surprised if one from Buncom and Meeks and one from Edwards and Reid end up with a decent sized role in the later part of fall. Lloyd holding kicks gives me hope Alomar may actually come up with a fake for the first time in 8 years when Shaw runs the FG team out there for a 48 yarder on 4th and 3.
