Michigan just flipped four-star QB Zach Gentry, a longtime Texas quarterback commitment. This is notable because K.J. Costello is currently on his Stanford visit and depth chart considerations are a part of his recruitment. Michigan now has two 2015 QB commits and one already in 2016. I do think USC was and will continue to be the biggest threat to Stanford in KJ's recruitment, but Michigan is probably running No. 3 and could move higher if he takes another visit there. So the Gentry flip is not a bad thing for the Cardinal's standing in the Costello sweepstakes.
