The third and final session of Stanford's all-positions camp ended about a few hours. And with it, Stanford's week of camps, which started on Monday with the specialists, continued on Tuesday with the QB's/WR's and DB's and finished Thursday and Friday with all positions, is over.

I'll have much more on some of the top campers in the weeks to come (and specifically the third session of the camp in a post that will be up later today), but first, here's a general rundown of the top player(s) at each position and how I envision things playing out recruiting-wise, kind of a bigger picture look at the major camp developments

Offensive Line

Like I mentioned in the other thread, Hawaii OL Nate Herbig was one of the stories of the camp. He's an interior offensive lineman (albeit one who is a legit 6-4 or so), and a darn good one. I didn't see him lose a rep today, and he won the board drill competition ("King of the Boards"). He made it look effortless, too. Just kind of casually went about his business locking defensive linemen up. In some of the 9-on-7 stuff (a run drill with 9 offensive players vs. defensive front seven), Herbig could frequently be found driving his defender 10 yards down the field, completely out of the play. Several of the top linemen didn't stay for the final session, so his ability shined even brighter today. But he was really good over the course of the camp, and emerged as the top OL in attendance. Signs point to a Stanford offer materializing at some point.

Henry Hattis also had a good camp - I thought he was the top tackle there. I'll need to do a bit more digging to get a better sense for the timing of everything, but I could see him earning an offer at some point. Herbig would be the closer of the two at this point, I believe.

Sterling Strother is not as developed as Herbig (who has about 60 pounds on Sterling), but the Bay Area OL and Stanford legacy certainly showed some positive flashes. I wouldn't think he'd receive an offer in the next few weeks/over summer, but Stanford will keep a close eye on him throughout the season. And, of course, they'd love to have him as a walk-on if an offer doesn't materialize.

Fullback

Made a note of it earlier this morning, but Alabama fullback Bailey McElwain (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Bailey-McElwain-172400) was the top FB at camp. I'd say there's a solid chance he ends up as Stanford's fullback commit in this class.

Defensive Line

Doesn't look like there were any immediate Stanford offer guys in the group. But Gaetano Sinacola (http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2110586/gaetano-sinacola) and Taheeb Sonekan (http://sports.yahoo.com/virginiapreps/football/recruiting/player-Taheeb-Sonekan-158277) would be a few of the defensive linemen to keep tabs on.

Linebacker

There probably weren't any immediate 2016 Stanford offer players at the all-positions camp. Definitely some good players that they will continue to recruit, but I wouldn't say anyone was particularly dominant, and the Cardinal has signed good numbers at the position over the past few years.

Do keep an eye East High School (Utah - Christian Folau's HS) LB Tangaloa Kaufusi (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Loa-Kaufusi-168763). He is a mission kid, so effectively a 2018 recruit, but he did a nice job at the skills camps earlier in the week and is definitely a player Stanford could offer.

Also, 2017 Punahou LB Seyddrick Lakalaka is definitely a name to file away. He did the Junior Day as well as the camp was one of the top guys there. Could be an offer player at some point. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Loa-Kaufusi-168763

Quarterback

Touched on it earlier, but Stanford had an embarrassment of riches at the QB position on campus this week. The top 2017 guys, in no particular order:

-2017 Florida QB Jake Allen (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Jake-Allen-166032)
-2017 Indiana QB Hunter Johnson (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Hunter-Johnson-161151)
-2017 Georgia QB Davis Mills (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Davis-Mills-162422)
-2017 Colorado QB Dylan McCaffrey (http://sports.yahoo.com/lsu/football/recruiting/player-Dylan-McCaffrey-165236)

Honestly, based on everything I've heard, I can't offer up a frontrunner for the offer at this point. Stanford will closely review the film from the camp and go from there. (Like I said, my personal favorite was Hunter Johnson - though I didn't get a chance to watch Allen - but all four of these guys are very good.)

Alex Farina, a 2016 Arizona QB (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Alex-Farina-165257), was my favorite walk-on candidate, but we'll see how that all shakes out.

Receiver

Donald Stewart was the top guy there, and picked up an offer on the spot. He'll need to improve his SAT (article coming relatively soon), but Stanford's in a great spot with him. There were some other good receivers at camp that could eventually pick up offers depending on how everything plays out, but Stewart was clearly the top guy.

Defensive Back

There were a few good 2016 DB's at camp, but given the shape of Stanford's DB board, it's hard to envision the Cardinal extending any new 2016 DB offers in the very near future. Camryn Bynum (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Camryn-Bynum-165661) was very good at the camp, and Obi Eboh (http://sports.yahoo.com/bwi/football/recruiting/player-Obi-Eboh-149498) and JoJo Domann (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-JoJo-Domann-163528) are also among the campers who could be in the conversation.

Of perhaps more immediate significance (and this is not a camp note, but figured this would be a good place to mention it): Stanford will be hosting a pair of elite defensive backs in the next week.

Andrew Pryts (https://sports.yahoo.com/usf/football/recruiting/player-Andrew-Pryts-156528) will be in town on Monday, and I'm hearing that top 2017 Georgia DB Isaiah Pryor (http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Isaiah-Pryor-164983) will also visit next week. So those will be two important trips.
